Hej!

Tänkte fråga lite snabbt, Hur mycket "mods" måste man göra för att få dit en Apex mtn boggie i Rx1 mtn, förutom Drop brackets bak?

Måste man ändra position på dessa jämfört med hur original sitter?

Mvh

Björn - down load the files earlier in the thread: They give you all the meassurments you need to install a apex mountain suspension in your sled.

1. Remove old skid, track, drive shaft and drop brackets and front support brackets

2. Install new drivers if going with a 3,0 pitch track

3. Install drivshaft and track

4. Remove front support brackets (inside the tunnel) for the old suspension

5. Drill new front holes according to meassurments in file and re-install the support brackets

6. Install new dropbrackets according to meassurents in file

7. Installing a new tunnel extension would be prefered if you ask me - I would do this before installing the skid

Easy to do just time consuming - take your time and meassure 10 times and drill once
;)!

Oh, thought I sent you a PM, well well :)

Seems that it's more easier to find gold in my back yard than finding a apex mtx skid here in Swe.
Shipping cost from US with like DHL etc isn't cheap :(

Is it even worth trying to extend the original skid with just longer rails and a new track 162"?
Apex 3,0 pitch track won't fit then?

That is funny - LOL

I bought my skid from USA. Seller took it apart for me to save me shipping money and shipped it in 2 boxes. Rails in one box and the rest in one box. USPS is cheapest and best for us overseas. I had to get the rails shipped with UPS. USPS would take my rails when I bought the skid frame. Read over at the Snowrider forum that USPS would ship 162" rails now

Talk to Zeb that answered your add - he is a standup guy. I am pretty sure he will help you out if you get the skid from him

I am considering selling my skid and upgrading to a aftermarked skid frame - so give me an offer in a pm - maybe we can work it out. I will give you drop brackets with the skid if interested ;)!

Well the thing is that I've spoked with USPS this night, and they won't ship items longer than 60", not overseas anyway, so i must do it your way and send the rail with ups or something then... aargh

Hmm, so the apex track won't fit the original skid even if the rails are extended or swaped out to longer ones right?

You will need new drop brackets and grind of some of the lower bolts bye the chain case to clear the 16" mavrick track. I would also recomend to grind of the lip on the front heat exchanger inside the tunnel - it will give you more room height wise.

Lenght wise would be any problem if you put just install some extension on the rails.

I did want a 16" track - so I installed a 15" track. Track USA sells some cheap new 162", 15" and 2,25" tracks. They will send with USPS. I have one as a backup track - bought it this summer.

Give me an offer - easiest way for you to get a apex mtx skid - LOL

Hey Check your PM inbox! :)

Well I have a friend that would sell me a almost new apex track for about $600 so i got that covered :)
