Nytro with PL kit, headshim, on stock motor with water/meth. What fuel and boost do you run, and at what elevation.
I have run up to 17psi on premium pump at 7000'
What could I safely run at 2000'?

You could easily run 91. I have run 91 at 16 pounds boost on my RX-1 at 2 k elevation with stock compression.

Hey thanks for the reply!! I know a few guy's with MCX 270kits one runs 17 pounds on 100LL at 2000'. The other 15psi at 2000' on 91. Both are stock motors with headshims and no meth.
I have never tried to run over 12psi at 2000' with my kit, but I now have some new weights that may require a little more boost to find 8700rpm. To be safe I'll turn on the meth on just over 10psi.
I'm thinking 14ish should do it..

For curiosity purposes for a future project, do you consistently run your sled with stock compression, 91 octane, and 16 psi (and stock spark timing?) and thrash the throttle without reserve? Or have you ran an occasional tank of 91 through it when no other preferred choice was available? May I also ask what turbo you're running?
This would build confidence in choosing components for said project, thanks in advance.

if i run further i throw in somw c-114 to make me feel better but probably don,t need it.

16lbs. with no STM Billet Caps on the carbs Turk or is that an old picture?

Thanks for the reply and confirmation Turk. I'm glad you posted the pic of your sled, I missed the water/meth in the original poster's question and my question was based on assuming you had no meth (although those w/meth numbers are just as good and useful to see). Can you speak of what boost you may of ran with out meth prior to adding your kit as well to satisfy my curiosity?
(Got kinda excited to see those numbers thinking they were without meth.. was ready to make an R1 motor shrine in my living room...
