Thanks for reply Mike!Dan,
This is pertaining to the 3inch exhaust with the Hurricane tunes. We tested the 270T tune with our HeartBreaker and let's just say it makes a pile more hp then 270... so it is up to the end user but I would suggest an update.
You will be fine with the modded muffler.
Mike
I have been saying this since my 3" cat Sandale muffler, noone makes more power or a nicer muffler then Sandale! Great work sir!

Correct. So just to clarify, by adding the Turbosmart BOV, this will NOT cause overboost more than the intended PSI for the respective tune. Is that correct?
The issue (as Mike mentions above) is that the stock bypass valve was opening below target boost pressure. Installing the Turbosmart corrected this, and let him dyno the tune as written by Dave.
There was no over-boost.

Providing the tuners are using the Turbosmart BOV's when building their maps then there should no reason for any over boost. So just to clarify, by adding the Turbosmart BOV, this will NOT cause overboost more than the intended PSI for the respective tune. Is that correct?

Here is some data for you guys on the "new" 270R tune.
Running our 3inch HyperFlow, -30 outside a/f was 11.4 at WOT, boost was at 16.5psi @9000 rpm. The tune is so violent that traction is definitely an issue, stabbing the throttle at 40mph is pointless with 196 studs. Cruising speeds a/f was in the 12.8- 13.2 range which is more then safe with no load on the motor.
Dave has hit a home run here, after speaking with him last night it sounds like he's working on some interesting stuff!!!! (stay tuned)

Sorry should have mentioned we were holding it for 3000+ feet...
It was to our surprise this year that we have seen lean conditions from the combination of hurricane tunes and the sandale 3” mufflers. We all know that efficiency causes this and I’ve been impressed by the flow of this muffler. Through conversations with mike at sandale,we desided to work together to deal with this lean condition.this turned out to be an awesome experience working with mike.
Over a couple of days on his dyno,we have updated flashes for the 3in sandale mufflers in trail testing this weekend.
It is the policy it hurricane Performance to offer free updates for reasons just like this.anyone with the hurricane flashes are welcome to the specific hurricane 240,270 &280 race flashes for the sandale 3” mufflers at no charge. Just simply contact us or your hurricane dealer and arrangements will me made

All Hurricane tunes now compliment the SanDale 3inch exhaust systems. There was an update done last winter.

When you say 3" exhaust systems, you mean both the Hyperflow and Heartbreaker?
Are the tunes setup for a CAI as well with the 3" Sandale Systems?
Are both the Hyperflow and Heartbreaker available from Hurricane Performance?
