Went to the show in Albany last night and saw the 06 sleds. They are all very nice machines, but I can say they are not for me. There is very little wind protection on the new models. The handlsbars and seat felt comfortable and it was easy to move around. The new 136 mono was sweet too. If you get one make sure you look at what it was built for.

Just saw them last night in Ypsilanti also and I have to say WOW they really got it together I think 100% this time. I can't imagine what they could do next.....I really can't.

Add a turbo and another $5,000.00 to the price tag
:ORC I can't imagine the insurance on a 1000cc factory turbo sled  .
Seriously though, I hope they change the seat styling, and the tunnel ext's on the attak for '07. Lots of impressive technology and options for '06 I just can't get past that fugly rear-end.
:ORC I still wouldn't buy anything else
That's right, you heard me

I'm not a snowcrosser ..so it depends on what a person wants in my opinion...for most of the riding I do I'm very content with how mine rides and I can sit up slightly when needed on bigger bumps easily and keep up np..and I have good wind protection. I just cant see hom a sled that you sit taller on can handle >better in turns</?? seems to me lower is better! unless they are talking they about upgrades in suspension which I can do to mine easily..am I missing something here??? :?

That's what Ultimatewarrior told me last night. It's an introductory model year so I'm going to wait. But...with a setup like that, FINALLY, for us tall-drinks-of-water, I just don't know how long I'll be able to?

They did say they spent $90,000 in designing the new seat....I guess now we know why they cost so much. I too will wait for a year however I do see that the suspension will be damn hard to beat. As for the low windshield's a factory guy told me they will have an offering of windshields to choose from. The new suspensions I believe will offer us the best ride yet even with the new rider position. In fact when I finally got on one I actually realized it was the position that I spent most of the time trying to get to to begin with since I ride semi-aggressively. It felt very natural yet comfortable enough to just sit back and ride unlike the Rev.

I dont know alot about this kinda stuff but if you were sitting more forward and up wouldn't be able to really lean into the corner and just carve around it nice and flat with the increased leverage you have? If I sit back on my warrior and just turn it then it seems more tippy then if I get up toward the tank and lean the same. Just a thought.

Seat issue... After putting a Boss on the Rx, I thought things were better. I found out how much after riding the ol' sx with the stock seat. Taller is better. BTW the 06 seat was not finished in time for the shows, with the issues of the seats aer going to get stiffer, and the trunk lid was not finished. IMO the seats looked the worst on the Apex and the best on the Mtn Apex. Must have something t odo wit htunnel length.
