I thought I would start a post for SBM clutch kit for the apex as I cant find one. What are your thoughts ? What's the top speed of these kits ?

Have one on my 09 gt pulls like mad Have had a lot of kits and first tried on my nytro an was impressed. I had the overdrive machining done this year but have not gotten the chance to run on a lake. Love the customer service Chris is no nonsense and sets you up .I have had good luck with others but really like this kit.

SBM - Schmidt Bros Motorsports
I installed one this weekend, works well. real low engagement which I really like. Pulls hard however it’s hard to say how hard. I’ll race my buddy’s Artic cat 800 again and see. It was usually he gets a 2 sled jump then at 80 I start walking by. Will advise maybe next weekend.

Hard a great ride this weekend, installed the SBM and it. Pulls like crazy! Top end goes to 10700 RPM right at the sweet spot. Very happy with Chris's set up!

My buddy has a clutch setup that was done with Dalton parts. That is what I will clutch mine with next season. It flat out works. It's amazing jumping on his 2008 LTX GT and then jumping back on my stock 07, Attak GT. His flat out runs away from me. Unreal acceleration.
After I studied my stock setup I see they use very heavy wts. over 83 grams with a real flat profile on the roller contact side. The Daltons have a stronger arc but loaded weigh almost 20 grams less. Also Yamaha uses a 51/43 multi angle helix. What I see is an initial tach reading of around 10 to 10,200 rpms and a gradual climb to around 10,600 to 10,800. With this Dalton kit is appears to be a 49 degree helix (nickel plated). It tachs immediately at 10,800 through the whole shift out when you pin it.
