Do these kits do anything besides address the under-tunnel icing issue? For example, does it help the engine cooling? Also, doesn't the snow getting thrown on the exhaust help cool it off? Is there any downside to doing what amounts to enclosing the exhaust in a sealed void under the seat?

I bought the same block off and am running with the stock exhaust. It definitely cut the build up in half!!! Hats off to schmidt brothers----clutch kit on the way!!!!!!!
