The snow conditions in the area have not improved and actually have gotten worse. So what's a man to do you ask? Hit the ski slopes!
The trails were crowded on Willard Mountain, at least 125 sleds

What an awesome groomed trail I found

Oh look out Earl, we're in an uphill climb race

The groomers worked hard keeping the trail smooth well after midnight

Took a ride on some trails in Broadalbin, NY to check the snow conditions. I rode with Darren, a friend of mine that lives in the area and knows the trails. The conditions were granular.

I'm Back! Went to Maine for a 10 day vacation. We rode locally while Hondo and Asphaltkitty took a trip through the Gaspe. The riding was great all over the state. Plenty of snow and cold temps.
Eagle Lake Groomer in a ditch. The track is snapped in half.
Don't know what went wrong here, but everytime Eagle Lake has a huge problem with their Groomer.
I has hoping it would be fixed, but it sat there in the ditch for 10 days. So we avoided Eagle Lake's portion of the trails.
Carter Brook to Fort Kent trails were good.

Had high hopes of some good riding with a group of great friends in the local area today only to have it shot down!! LOL
I was riding down the lake in hard pack going about 60-65 mph, pulled out into the powder and blew the track. Needless to say that ended my day. I have some phone calls to quickly make Monday morning as I have plans to ride with Hondo in Maine Wednesday and I'm not running on foot along side him! Glad this decided to blow now and not in New Brunswick with Hondo.
Now that's a long track!
Don't worry, be happy!
Now I have room for a nitrous bottle under there
Saturday night was not much better riding unless you like muddy creeks that suck you in. Two out of three groomers were down and the track truck was stuck in a 6' deep snow drift.

Hey Hondo-
Glad to see your snow hasn't melted too much yet. LOL We just had three thunderstorms this evening. Is the spring ride fest
anything like a beer fest? Remember the song, Cat Scratch
Fever, well...the girl friend has a new name, Cat Crash Fever or just Crash! LOL
