Here are some pictures over the past month! What great riding
The trips seem to get farther and farther in distance. The sled is so much fun to ride, especially with the new suspension. After 300 + miles in a day I do not feel beat at all it is incredible.
What great trails we have been having around here. I could ride all day in these conditions

Well, I rode and rode and rode some more this weekend. The trails were amazing! I did not want to get off, so I didn't. 503 miles on Saturday
That is by far my longest trip in a day. I was not even that wore out. If someone showed up wanted to ride another 100 miles I would have done it in a heartbeat. I rode from Houghton Lake to Cheboygan to Alpena to the Mackinac Bridge, to Cheboygan back to Houghton Lake, down to Meridith, and back to Houghton Lake where I played for a bit on the lake. What a blast!
The ride from Cheboygan to Alpena is about 60 miles of old rail bed. It was non stop 95-115mph of some of the smoothest trails I have ever ridden. You could of rode that trail without a suspension and would have been fine!
I rode to Lake City and around the Houghton Lake trails today for another 200 miles, another day of beautiful trails!

nice job on this post!
Damn! You are lucky, glad to see you taking advantage of those trails. I'd love to have a 500+ mile day...hell at this point I'd be happy with a 5 mile day. lol

Pictures for the last month. A lot of the pictures are from the U.P. On the day, I drove about an hour north with the truck to good snow at Gaylord. I rode to the bridge, called the bridge authority to get trailered across and rode for about 6 or 7 hours in the U.P. I rode all the way up to Tahguamenon Falls and back and then across the Ice Bridge to Mackinac Island.
The trails were unreal! Riding across the ice bridge was very scary. The only place that had any snow was on the "bridge" and it went through several pressure crack areas. It was well worth it though! I then headed back down to the lower to my truck. It was a little over 400 miles for the day. It is something I will definitely do again.
The ice expanded on Houghton Lake like I have never seen before. Even many of the aged locals say the same. It was quite the site. The pictures do not do it justice.
I thought about going two weekends ago to the U.P. but found that Houghton Lake still had 15" of ice and the sun was making the top of the lake soft providing for some fun riding with plenty of lubrication! I sure do love that lake.
What a great season it has been! Hopefully we get many many more like it. I hope you enjoy the pictures.
Total mileage for the season on the Apex: 5,835
I also put on enough miles this year on two other sleds while the Apex was down to bring me to the 7,500 mile mark for total season mileage.
