Here is a picture from my first ride this year last week near Starvation Lake, MI. There was as much snow or more on the ground as shown top of the covered sign. The condtions were awesome. G.B.

GB - looks very similar to around here! I'd say there's enough to ride on anywhere now in most parts of the UP BUT there are still a few deer hunters in the woods (muzzleloader). By this weekend, though...

Stu - We have had great snow the last two years in December in the Lower. I still prefer to ride in the UP, but I have to say, last week was the best ride I ever had in the Lower. 2 plus feet of powder and groomed trails everywhere we went. G.B.

raining here too. ( Western New York) Its been cold for the last two weeks ground was starting to freeze nice everything was looking good for the start of the season. Now a week before it opens rain and nothing but warm temps. in the forecast. It seems like this happens every year and its so freekin' frustrating I often wonder why I even watch the forecast but can't help not too. It just makes me want to scream and cry like a two year old but ya wait all damn summer and just want to ride and it just ticks me off. Sorry to spout off but damn I pissed. Am I the only grown person that feels this way please tell me I'm not!javascript:emoticon('')

well now we have enough ice and are in the process of getting 20cm of snow. too bad my sled's are down for maintence. might have to fire up the 78 et340 to go for a boot.

We got a ton of snow the last two days but now it's calling for 60mm of rain!!!!

We got dumped with snow over the weekend finally got the sled out and another 20cm in the forcast for tomorrow
