The calibration is in the ECU.
They hold up fantastic, I tap them just over half way thru, they are lighter, provide extra traction and also act as a locknut. I love them and have used them on my turbo 1200 as well. I wouldn't use the singles myself. Notice I use the plus size in the middle and the std size on the outside band as well. I've never ever tore one up, but will only use the doubles.
When I visited the StudBoy trailer at Hay Days they told me for added strength, tap all the way through and use a drop of super glue on threads of stud before screwing it in. That's what I did and it's worked perfect for 3 years now. I think I have only had to replace 2-3 due cracks. Never had a stud come loose. Only use doubles, no singles. They hold up great on my 320 tune.

I personally did not like those backers. They worked ok on hard pack but on loose snow it seems like the track just packs with snow and has less traction than no studs at all. I told this to two of my riding buddies. They thought I was crazy until they rode my sled. It was like the track wouldn't dig or find bottom. , only float on top . It is like the track cant clean out. It is like putting tire treads too close together. Mud tire ( loose traction) have treads that are spaced far apart. When I visited the StudBoy trailer at Hay Days they told me for added strength, tap all the way through and use a drop of super glue on threads of stud before screwing it in. I mentioned I installed these this to a friend who cross country races and he just grinned " didn't work too well did they?" He proceeded to tell me he had the same impression, as did his fellow competitors.
I have a box of them if anyone is interested.

Yup I agree! When you wanna get in the back buy a 850 ski doo. BahahaI may pull the trigger on an 850 too, Doctor"s orders.
Went for a physical 3 weeks ago cause I was feeling tired/burnt out all the time. Doctor asked me what I was doing different as of late?
I said, "I haven't changed a thing. I work as hard now as I did when I was 25 years old. I'm just as strong, have just as much stamina and work the same amount of hours now as I did then. As a matter of fact, last fall I sawed, loaded, hauled, and unloaded 9 cord of wood by myself in one day!! You'd have to get early in the morning to follow this old boy."
The Doctor chuckled and said, "Fleece, you may not have noticed, but you're not exactly a spring chicken anymore. A guy your age should really look to slow down."
I replied, "So...I need to buy a Ski Doo??"

wow, that will stretch your arms. I know we all complain about the reliability, but good luck trying to find something to take that all day long. that's no less violent than a Vermeer chipper. When I visited the StudBoy trailer at Hay Days they told me for added strength, tap all the way through and use a drop of super glue on threads of stud before screwing it in. Thanks to all who commented here. Thanks Marc for sending me the data logging vid on the 900t. Pretty sure Knapp’s comment got me leaning Cat, then Fleecer’s story on post #23 sealed the deal. Snow-checked the ‘21 ZR 9000. Already have a wrap picked for it lol.
The snow check process was definitely odd. Nearest dealer is in MI, and they said none of their sales staff were working because they were prohibited from processing any sales. As an aside, when this C19 stupidity is done and people see that it was no different than a bad flu season, there needs to be some serious political and media accountability for manufacturing this nonsense hysteria. Not saying C19 isn’t bad, but for god’s sake the reaction needs to be proportional to the harm.
Anyway, dealer receptionist said I had to do the snow check online. Of course that means no negotiation on price, upgrades, accessories, or even the reservation amount. It’s just pay your $750 and agree to buy the sled at the advertised price. So I sucked it up and did it. Figure $14,195 (pre tax/titling) for what is basically a lowered Winder with lower gearing wasn’t a bad deal.

Thanks Marc. Yeah that’s the plan. If it looks like the in-person pics posted on HCS, I’ll be on the phone with the wrap company as soon as it’s in my trailer! I have a nice wrap picked out that pays tribute to this being a YamaCat.
