I have an LTX SE, I mostly ride off trail, in deep powder. What can be done to help get my front end up a little easier? It likes to stay planted, and I don't like that!. Any help appreciated. Thanks

The sled is specifically designed not to pull the front end up. You would somehow need to manage to get an uncoupled rear suspension. Xtx is more than likely the setup you're looking for

You can make sure limiter strap is all the way out, rear springs on soft, center hard and coupler blocks are on 1 or removed. Otherwise like said the coupled suspension was designed to keep front down. More so than even the 129" with same settings. Is the reason the ltx turns so well in the tight twisties. Running track a bit loose and mountain skis will help also along with valving your rear shock softer.
It could get expensive, but if you watch for a 141" XTX skid from a wreck along with a drive axle and a track you should be able to swap. It sounds like the LTX and XTX share the same tunnel length.

I have your answer, as I had this happen on our XTX after long tracking it.
On the front skid shock, measure the distance from the wheel to the lower skid shock mounting point. Now, measure the same distance behind the wheel and drill a hole and relocate the the lower mounting point of the front skid shock there. Now take off all tension on the shock spring, spin the adjuster all the way down. This will lighten up the front end, made ours lift the front just like my 2014 M8. If you don't like it simply move it back
Any questions private message me and I will give you my phone number.

I have a take off XTX rails and XTX track if interested.

Lol...I have tried so many things to do that exact thing. And there is just no way to get the front end up, without a huge change. I changed my front shock from hard to soft, changed my limiter strap from one end to the other. And with the limiter strap all the way out and the front track shock hard as hell and the rear torsions soft is when I got the most transfer. Now in deep powder I didn't have really any trouble getting the front end up. It was just the trails that I can't. So for the powder I just left it how it came pretty much except I stiffened my center shock up, for jumping, and I could lift the front end really good, with the Turbo...

Tim, really do this and if anything the front will be too light....I promise.

You know I'm going to look into that, I was trying to think of a way to get rid of that slide action stuff. I think there might be something there as well. Thank you! Wish you lived around here, you could drive with me to watch Terry light up the track, hell we would take the Chevelle and run him...

After we long tracked the red viper last year it was noseheavy. By the way when I went to the Yamaha demo I watched them crank a front skid shock as tight as it would go so I knew it wasn't only me.
Tried a bunch of stuff that did not work, if I got it light enough it didn't steer right. So I put the M8 side by side and measured EVERYTHING. What I found was one difference that caught my attention and that was the lower skid shock was mounted a long way off from the M8. So I guestimated the extra distance to move farther than the M8 to take extra nose weight on Viper into consideration and drilled. WOW what a difference! Now the sled steers like power steering and you can make the nose dance like an M8. BUT, the girlfriend does not like wheelie things so I added some air to the back skid shock till she liked it. Now yes this is an XTX with long track but I am very sure you will see the same thing.

Sure wish cat would settle on geometry and leave the tuning to the shocks. I honestly believe they changed the rear arm position just to satisfy all those that thought something was wrong when they had 3-4in of sag. Front skid shock at least on 129 is in same position as it was at least as far back as 12's.

I do not have any knowledge of the 129 or anything short of the XTX, but suspect moving the mounting point of the lower front skid shock will lighten it the same as it did my XTX. If not simply move it back.
