I've been from one end of the spectrom to the other, mostly just trying anything to get it to turn. I finally got some C&As last year and while it turns great now, it totally threw my set-up off. I am pretty much back to stock as far as weight on the front end. I ran out of time, but the last ride i THINK i have it handling good? If it still darts a little, do you guys run duelly carbides on aftermarket skis? And my original question is, what shock settings should i start with? I'm talking front springs, comp, rebound, rear shock comp, torsion springs, and anything else you can give me. I'm afraid i made so many changes over the years, i'm lost.
I weigh 155lbs, and don't ride too hard anymore. I like a very soft susspention, but i'm thinking i have mine to soft and it's blowing through the travel? It's an 07 FX. Thanks for any set-up tips. Mike.

i run my front springs on the 2nd notch. my skid front spring is on the first and rear spring on med I'm 180lbs and anything higher than these settings for me is bone jarring

I would get your shocks refreshed/revalved and start where they send them back to you.Otherwise check manual for stock settings and go from there.I found rebound adjustment on Stock fronts made the most noticeable handling differences for me.Its the Knob on bottom eyelet. If I remember right I ended up either 3 clicks from all the way in or 3 clicks from all the way out.I have since revalved and rebuilt so entirely different settings now.

I e-mailed Monster Performance about re-valveing my rear shocks a couple weeks ago. That is probably my best bet i guess.

Too much front rebound, BOING! Found my helmet torn off by my studs jambed up in my tunnel, ya, that got my attention!

I bought a Troy Lee after that little tumble. I didn't even know my helmet was off for a min or 2. All by myself, pretty stupid. I don't like talking up crashes because that's just saying you're not a very good rider, but this one was pretty hard core. I know it was my fault, but my Rev would've handled that situation a lot better, and i'm sure i wouldn't of even lost it, this one i just threw it away, i knew i was done, lol, but it came back and ran me over! Must not like me much?

If you are darting let your front limiter strap out you have tomuch ski pressure. This will take some weight off of your skis

If you are darting you are most likly toed in toe it out some. Its common with different skis to have to change the toe.

I find the front end as predicable as my rev was once set-up properly and I have raced both.

Mine was darting/twitchy/nervous, then i measured the ski-toe, and much to my suprise(i check it often) it was IN a 1/4"! So that's about 1/2" off, right? Holy crap! I adjusted it in a snowbank in a hurry, but i think i had it about even, meaning zero toe out or in, being in a hurry and that was my last ride, but it handled awesome! May have been a little twitchy? But i have to set the toe properly yet. How much out do you go? 1/4" 3/8" ? (C&As with 7.5 Shapers)

1/8 toe out is what i set usaully but I like it to be real sharp and deal with slighty daftness try 1/8 to 1/4 and go off your personal feel. 7.5 might be a little agressive for average trail conditions

Put a zip tie on the front shock runn it through a set of Moguls that will tell you if you BLOW through the travel is so stiffen the high speed compression and retest
