Cats didn't have them until after they introduce the viper this is one of yamahas changes. then cat followed. yamaha also changed bolt and fastener specs. some things yamaha wanted change and refine. Our 14' cat 7000 doesn't have the splitter between primary and secondary either on the inner panel. I doubt it does much. They never stuck with that idea on the panels. I always remove the side panel foam. I did more work for venting on my turbo but the 7000 never concerned me as far as needing more venting or air. Never had a belt issue either.
I remember the dealer when i bought mine explaining the differences between the cat model and mine.

Our sled is the same year and even color Cat 7000 as his. His has the different deflectors inside the panel than ours. That's what it was in reference to.

But what I'm wondering is if your 2014 is a ZR (129") or an XF (137")? My sons 14 ZR did not have the deflector, my 14 XF does. Our sled is the same year and even color Cat 7000 as his. His has the different deflectors inside the panel than ours. That's what it was in reference to.
