Ridden today about 60 km with my new sled. Here is my impressions, I´ve not ridden a turbosled before, just 2-stroke 800 and a Viper 2015 xtx se. It has a solid starting, does not hesitate when turning the key. Goes up a bit in rpms at first and then settels at about 1500 rpm. Smooth intake on clutches, not atall like the Vipers nervous start. The reall s**t starts at about 50 km/h, when you hit the throttle at rpms like 5.500 ore above it really screams and the skis lift right up! What is the big difference compered to my other sleds is that in speeds like 70-80 km/h and hitting the throttle it´s just the same! Just screaming and ski´s in the air!
I love the float evol that is on the LE. I lowered the main chamber pressure, 90 psi front and 120 psi rear and i felt really good. Maybe after some break in I have to raise it again. The power claw 2.25 hooks up really good on hard snow trail, and also i about 50 cm of loose snow. Compered to the Viper 1.6" it has more vibrations due to the higher cams i guess. Really good headlight, both hi and lo, makes a bright shine. I have also mounted the Viper googlebag with no problems on heating from under hood. I felt like it was pretty much the same temp as in the Viper. The electric seat was magic today in minus 17 deg. celcius..
I only have two things that dont felt really good. First I think the drive cluch has really lot of ratteling. Ok its quieter than the Viper in exhaust sound, but that is´nt all, it clearly rattles more than the Viper..
The other negative was that it builded really a lot of ice in the back regions of the tunnel and around the upper back wheels, and made the lug vibrate moore when touching the ice build up.
I hade a short head to head with a new rotax 800 i loose snow. Both sleds with skis in the air, but it was really not at fair chance for the Rotax 800, Sidewinder just bursted away:4STroke:
Well folks, that was my contribution to all TY people here, wich I read often with much pleasure!!
Have a nice weekend!

Awesome reading. Looking forward to my LTXSE which should be delivered next week.

It's too bad that after building four stroke triples for so many years Yamaha still doesn't care enough to eliminate the clutch rattle. I had a first year Vector, and the clutch rattled. Eventually they had enough complaints they put O-rings behind the non-drive buttons, which helped. It seems they have forgotten. I have owned both sizes of three cylinder four stroke Skidoos(2014 900 and 2016 1200) and neither clutch made a sound. Since they built a new clutch for the Sidewinder you would think they would have given this problem some consideration, particularly on their $16000 plus flagship models. Granted it may not be as important to the pure performance guys but they make touring model Sidewinders also(STX-DX) which is what I'm interested in, and it IS a big deal to me.
