Bad news for this coming Friday and sat. rain after snow, its running west of us,not good, hope it move east enough so we only get some rain, not the 1-2 inches they are talking about. Where did you buy your winder, caribou, houlton,or ft kent? The lake just caught recently...I wouldn' t ride it just yet, but my opinion. The 8 inches you got in Patten, we got too, but it was a wet heavy snow, then froze next day making awesome base. Snowing as I write this, we should be in good shape after this storm!!

Winder came from Garys. We only got 3 inches today vs the 5-10 expected.

Voodoo, is Tugg Hill really that crowded? I’ve ridden in VT, NH, Quebec and Maine but never NY. I always wondered what it was like. Just too many people? Or too many bars? Or both. Thanks for the heads up SnowBeast,I've been checking the web site's for all over Aroostook county and no one seems to be committing to trail reports. I'm off from the 23rd till 2nd. Was hoping for Portage/Eagle Lake area to be ride able by now. Oh well, guess I double up on my life insurance, dust off my back brace put my head on a swivel and hit Tugg Hill.
God help me!!!!!

When Tugg Hill is the only game in town you have people coming from Pa, NJ, Conn, Mass, and all of NY. to ride in a concentrated area. Well you can imagine what it's like! The world's biggest snow cross track! Don't get me wrong I've seen Tugg Hill trails table top smooth and very few sleds, but that was when the whole East coast was snow covered from Maryland to Maine. But most times it's a total s@&t show. 2'to3' mogals, too many sleds for the club's too keep up with grooming.Voodoo, is Tugg Hill really that crowded? Ya Accuweather is way off most times...stick with the NWS it'll be much more realistic for sure. Hay 3 inches on top of what you had is a nice lil added bonus. You're scheduled to get more come this weekend too...so that's great news. I see you got your Winder from Gary's too...that's cool. I enjoyed dealing with John at Gary's...very pleasant guy to work with.

The key to riding tug hill is to only ride during the week, riding on the weekend is pointless. My favorite is Tuesday morning, everything is groomed and low traffic. You can put a lot of miles on quick and be home for dinnerWhen Tugg Hill is the only game in town you have people coming from Pa, NJ, Conn, Mass, and all of NY. to ride in a concentrated area.
