Its been quite a while since I purchased a new sled. Thought maybe it would be helpful to make a list of things that are must haves or just things you are ( or would be) getting for the Sidewinder. Not sure what actually is going to be made available, but this will be tentative. Feel free to add on. Here's what I got so far:
Spare belt (not sure if going with 8JP or 8DN)
Cover
Studs (tunnel protectors, if needed)
4th wheel kit
Skid plate
Front bumper (if recommended to protect intake)
Taller windshield (will try stock first, but I assume it will be cold)

"A" arm protectors, wind/hand protectors, windshield bag, larger tunnel bag, possibly handlebar riser(height was borderline for me) and a superman cape lol

You're going to have to change the skags. The yamaha ones are junk and won't last 10 feet across a road.

Was hoping that wasn't the case, but should have guessed that was the case. You're going to have to change the skags. The yamaha ones are junk and won't last 10 feet across a road.
Yamalou, didn’t know if they still had a arm protectors for these type fronts. Might have to add them as well. I'm worried about the white paint (ordered the heat red color SW.) Shows flaws, chips, easier.

I was concerned about that as well, one of the models w/red heat color has the rear skid in white, think that might not look very white after a couple thousand miles, that was just one of the reasons I went with the 141 XTX in blue

Windshield that has the ability to add the mirrors to each side, like the cats touring,or my old cat procross LXR model, windshield bag, rear end lg. bag,my 5.7 doo pilot skis I had on my LXR with 7" shapers, tunnell protectors, and 192 1.450 mega bites all down the middle on all double backers, and 4-wheel conversion with full shaft. Of course extra belt, might get an 8DN for 60 bucks for a spare,i plan on leaving the clutches stock for the first year too.

Hand Guards, Studs, Tunnel protectors, Yamaha's new mountain ski's, extra belt, and JT's oversized 4th wheel kit. Possibly exhaust and tune if anything like Turbo Dynamic's eco tune is available.

Going with a stx dx. Wheel kit, qs3 (non kashima), tunnel rack, rack pack, seat jack, ecu tune and a can. Need to get the seat so my wife thinks it's a family friendly sled. Just don't try picking a race with me on a lake if the kids are on the back. I don't always make wise choices.

Does anyone know the difference between the Sport and Pro Sidewinder front bumpers? Other than price and shape? I'm assuming the more expensive one is better for some reason?

Price and shape are the main differences - the Sport is a little heavier duty and has better areas for grabbing onto it with your hands if needed.

Well, it would be nice to see a pic of each installed. I really don't want to have to spend an extra $20, but if its better quality, then I will. Besides what's an extra $20 when you are around the $200 mark anyway. Right?

I like the look of the Sport and it looks much beefier but i wouldn't like the big open area in the center, don't the small bars on the Pro bumper protect the intercooler?
