Ditto,me to.I did some checking because this wasn't adding up. It does not monitor octane, It monitors knock and lowers boost and pulls timing to safe guard! If you put lower octane in and knock occurs it will make the adjustments and you will loose power.
Boost range is from 9 to 13lb. It will increase boost UP TO 13lb as you increase elevation to maintain power. It was said that the sled at Dynotech was around 9lb.

This si the same turbo the cat 9000 has had sense it came out,and the cats have been boosted to 30 psi no problem, and at 9lbs at dynotech it made 204hp so you are way out in left field, with all the spoiled little turbo not making any power, and the guys who already have there protoes to play with, have stated it will make 250 on pump with out any problems.30 psi is way to high for that turbo. It's made to deliver at its best up to max 20 psi. Over that its ineffective.
13 psi boost , and only 180 hp.
Yamaha have made a very safe setup. Its only +70 hp from the engine without boost. Normally its no problem making 10hp pr psi. =+130 hp

The chart tells what the turbo can deliver. This turbo works best up to 15-17, but ofcourse it works with higher boost also. Not 30. What kind of turbo cat have used in their sleds, i dont know. Maximum safe boost on pump gas will be 14psi at sealevel at that engine. In hp thats 230 with yama dyno, or 250 with dynotech. More hp you'll need racefuel. I'm pretty sure yoy'll never pass 300 hp with that turbo.

9 pounds of boost and 90 to 100 hp with the low compression engine though sounds right.

Why,same turbo I had in my 2013 cat, with TD stage 4 tune at 220 hp 250 hp and 275 hp all on pump gas,and if I wanted to run moon juice 315 hp so why cant yamahas turbo make same hp numbers as those that we already have had, same turbo! Please exsplain! The chart tells what the turbo can deliver. This turbo works best up to 15-17, but ofcourse it works with higher boost also. Not 30. Yamaha motors generally make more HP per lb boost than the Zuk motor does so it shouldn't be a problem. As stated though as you get out of a Turbos efficiency range charge air temps go up so good fuel is more critical.

Id say this little turbo is capable of 25 lbs with its most functional peak being probablyin the 18-20 lb. range...its not a good comparison to the suk setup....in the end the tuners should be able to get this one close to the suk , as a boost comparo....expect more power with less boost due to higher rpms. triple throttle bodies and cylinders...
