Sidewinder Luggage

Here is my setup I just got back from powdercoat just waiting on the correct 2.5gal gas can the holeshot bag fits perfectly and there is lots of room in the bag just have to finish mounting it! Very happy for under $200 and I kept the factory bag

I like the setup as it doesn't protrude over the sides of the tunnel. I'm looking for a setup that will work with the factory 2-up seat that uses the pocket bumper which requires this. Great looking german shepherd too Dieselxtx, looks just like mine!

I don't know how much room you will have with an ltx my rack is 20.5 in long 1 in holes 1.75 in center to center drilled in a piece of 1x2 aluminum angle

Ha, I love that. His ears are cute too, that's a great age. I got mine at 8 weeks old. Shepherd puppies are the most adorable. Till they chew on you or anything else for that matter. Those teeth are like needles! Ok I'm done, sorry for the derail on the thread.

Th

thats going to be tough to get that and gas on my holeshot is only 11-12in

Hmmm I look up the bag but rather not buy another bag. I never carried gas but the gf ran out last year and would have been nice.

they have a 1 gal a friend of mine has on the back of his pro R the dimensions are 9 1/2 L x 13 1/4 W x 3 H I only carried 1.3gal on my nytro 99% of the time that will get you to a gas station. The smaller one would fit in there and have some extra room.

Will try the 40L BRP box on the BTX 153. Just waiting for the LMP-2 bracket

I ended up using the Yamaha tunnel bags - did the really want to but in the end it isn't bad and was really reasonably priced. I can also strap on another bag on top of it along with saddle bags - in the end there is lots of room.

I've been working on this project for a while. I wanted an adaptable system for a variety of uses. I wanted to create a webbing like on a kayak or backpack. We primarily take backpack trips and most of use ride 4S yamahas and its been years since we had any beaters so truthfully in a typical 1000 mile tour the most problems are with luggage braking burning etc. Love my Attak, not gonna miss the drone of the burned luggage. Also I have fewer riding friends now and with so much invested in the SW my wife is eager to take a few trips as a passenger - hence the Seat Jack.

Installed the Up North Pro-Series 137-141 rack. It is shortened to keep the tool bag in place. I have a Roto-pax 1 gallon can. and I can strap almost anything down with bungie webbing. I wanted a little bling so I put LED running/brake lights under the rack. I will be fabricating added braces for the tunnel in light of the bent tunnel reports and there is room to cut the back brace of the Seat Jack which will allow it and the 1 gallon to be on the sled at one time.
