i would like to thank torco fuels and jamie bellman for putting on one of the best races i have ever seen, this track and the people behind it are second to none. having the grass and asphalt side by side was really cool. i met alot of new people and we really had a good time with all the grass and asphalt draggers at the pig roast afterwards. i hope this race continues and i would really like to see more of them.

the sled was running good, but the track was very challenging though out the day, no traction in the morning during testing, then it started getting better when the cars began running, and ended up being as good as it was at the last race (which was excellent) it definitly keep us on our toes tring to decide which set-up to run from race to race. we progressively dialed into the track and ended up breaking our world record times at the 60 ft and the 1/8 mile, but it wasn't in the cards to completely pull it off that day, due to lack of sunshine, the end of the track had too low of a track temp to keep all that hp glued down, and the sled would break traction causing the driver to have to pedal the throtlle the last half of the track to keep it under control, it finally blew a belt from all the spinning and hooking just before the end of the 1/4 mile and coasted across the line running a 8.19 at 150 mph. it turned out to be enough to get the job done, but it really made it exciting having to dial into this constantly changing track in such a short time, alot of educated guessing, and hoping that you made the right change to match what you thought the track was going to be like for the next run. there were heats we changed our set-up 3 times in the pits before we even made the run. it was definatly a challange for ones tuning abilitys, and we really enjoyed the task.

special thanks to our new driver tim steinke (tim was one of the first drivers out there when asphalt racing started, and can drive like a mad man) and our mechanic mike rosenbaum whose efforts have no boundries. mike will do whatever it takes to get the job done. jeff
