I have a '17 xtx with the updated FF shock. It rides like a whole different sled with the new shock. Way better. I have put about 1100 trouble free miles on the new shock so far

I purchased a leftover 16 Apex in late January. No question the 16 single shot shock is harsh compared to the mono shock in my 13 Apex. I put 2500 miles on it with no issues. I’m gonna replace it in the off season with the updated 18 shock or an aftermarket Hygear. I’d be curious to the feedback if anyone has put the Hygear shock in and how it compares to the updated 18 shock.

I have heard the updated shock is much better. If anybody has replaced with the Hygear shock please give us your feedback. At $950 it’s a lot to pay for a shock. However, I plan to keep both of my Apex’s for awhile so I’ll update if it’s a big improvement on the 18 fox shock.
