Just wondering what you guys like best. Which cools the best and gives the best slider wear in marginal conditions?

I had ski mounted scratchers on and thanks to Travis’ breakaway mounts I have undamaged skis. Both scratchers ripped off the skis crossing bridges on rail beds. I ran them for for two weekends before they broke off. I got zero benefit in cooling from them. I’d never run them on skis again. Without Travis BOP brackets I would have had ski damage.

I too bought the BOP ski scratchers. Chose the Duraflex model. It does work once properly adjusted so that the spray pattern is directed under the sled in proper spot.

Yeah I did notice the spray when on gravel so that is an issue for chipping paint! No chips yet but it will happen I bet.
My second season with them. All good so far, and I certainly need scratchers with this sled !!!

That mounting spot under the running board frame, very innovative and interesting !

May need them today. Trails are hard !

The Duraflex and most of those cable scratchers for that matter, come with a 45 degree bend in them. I heated them with a torch to straighten them out on the top end which gets mounted and they really dig hard when mounted that way.

Yeah good pic, I can see the hot spot where you heated them to bend a bit.

I like how they are mounted way up front. Did you mount those thru one of the existing running board holes with a backer plate on the other side of the running board? How do you stow them or are they always down?

I drilled new holes for them where i wanted them. As you can see i started out with the washers that came with the scratchers, then replaced those with large fender washers after this pic was taken.

Buddy mounted his like this under his feet. The vibration or something he grabbed some how split the aluminum in a couple spots. Hard to believe but...
