Anyone mess with the alternate mounting positions on the USI Triple threat skis? My Viper requires a lot of effort to keep the sled turned in long sweeping corners. You have to keep a lot of force on the bars as you go around the corner. Would changing the bolt location help? Right now I have stud boys dueces with no extra fins.

When I ran them on my nytro, I mounted in the center and had heavy steering, then moved the to the rear holes and it lightened up the steering. Still heavy but a lot better than the middle holes

The usi triple threats are an incredibly aggressive ski. They work incredible at speed but are really hard to turn when stopped or going slow.
I ran them on my apex, then my viper with 6" studboy shaper barsand could never get rid of the heavy steering.
As hoginit09 stated, moving to the rear hole will decrease steering effort but it will still be heavy.
You can also try tightening the spring on the front skid shock. This takes pressure off the skis.
I tried the usi power steering plates but found they bend the carbides and only contributed to studs breaking on the carbides. Steering never really got lighter that i noticed.
You said you have stud boy duce bars. That probably is not helping. Everything i read (after i bought shaper bars) said use round bars for carbides on these skis.round bars dont grab as much as the studboy bars..
I might go back at some point and try them again but this time with snowtrackers. I really like how aggressive the snowtrackers are, yet they give incredibly light steering

Thanks for the inputs. I have come to the conclusion also that the deuce bars don't track well enough in the turns, need to go single and probably round is the way to go. Dealer is suggesting I try a set of C&A RZ, possibly with slim jims. Just a little concerned that the skis are pretty similar visually, don't want to spend the money and still have the heavy steering.

CA razors will not get you light steering, but the will turn when you want them to. If you want light steering and being able to make the sled go where you want it to, I would go with either the pilots or xs curve skis, which I am still undecided on yet till next year
