I believe my ski shocks may have seen better days. I can hold the rear rack and rock the sled from side to side without much effort and there is more body roll than normal on the trail as well. I have the shock off and will remove the spring to check it for sure. The Yamaha shocks are $295 each and you can't get them w/o the spring. Phew, that's a lot for a basic shock so I'm looking for something aftermarket.

Any suggestions.
thanks,

I think Float 2's and Ohlins are the only "packaged" options out there if it uses the same arms as the short track phazers. There are custom options, just need a shock in the 16" center to center range.

Heres a little more affordable fix... Its by Schmidtbros not sure if they do the stock shocks but you can read it and ask them..

From The Site:

Send us your tired Fox, Fox Float, GYTR, HPG, OHLINS, Soqi, or KYB shocks and we will rebuild and/or re-valve them to suit your weight and riding style. We will address issues with the factory suspension setups including spring rates, reliability, and simple single stage valving problems.

Factory shocks are a generalized setup and won’t necessarily match your riding style. Based on your weight, the factory shock combination in most cases, isn’t ideally suited to you. That’s where we come in. We will rebuild and/or re-valve your shocks so that they match the needs of you and your sled. Give us a call to find out what we can do for you.

Standard Rebuild Price: $59.99
Custom Re-Valving Price: $49.99

Yeah that is a thought, I'm not sure if the cheap (not really cheap to buy) shocks on the VL are rebuildable??

its worth asking im guessing they can do it since well theyre a gas valve shock
if they wont i would ask someone at another shock re builder there are quite a few out there.
