What are you guys doing? The drivers, chaincase and brake all need protection but I sure like the improved flotation my Phazers Glide plate gave me on it. Would like that on Viper also.

rear skid

I am going with a rear skid and front bumper probably all blue from Yamaha.

X2...except black in color. Happy with the OEM rear skid plate on my 2013 AC 1100 turbo so should be just as good on my Viper.

If the guys at Racewerx would ever respond to my emails, I'd like to do the full plate and bumper from then. Looks like the ticket!

Is that rear plate aluminum or plastic?

rear skid

I am not sure if its plastic or not. My other skid protectors have been A heavy plastic. What was on the Arctic cat turbo?

Looks like the Racewerx stuff is aluminum, the Cat and Yamaha plates are plastic. Cat does make a white one if anyone dares.

is the viper considered one of cats xf chassis??
if so, I am wondering if the carbon fiber skid plate from rpm composites would fit it? they have one designed to fit the cat xf chassis.

my buddy has an rpm composite skid plate on his doo 1200 and its very well built and absolutely rock solid.

Ordered both skid plates from Yammi, I always buy skid plates for my four stroke sleds.

I wouldnt think of running without one either but I really want a plate that helps flotation. I hate being a snowplow. Doesnt look like anything is offered even for the ProCross.
