I needed to send my shocks to Cannondale for service, and wanted to go through the front end, steering and maybe shaft bearings while it is apart. I had a rear lift/ stand but nothing for the front end that would work and let the suspension hang. I looked at the plans in the tech center and liked what I saw, but didn't have time to build one. Not sure I want to spend the $$ to get a pro built one, although now that this is done, I think I might in the future.
I had a furniture dolly in my garage so using some scrap wood I put this together yesterday, while I had the front end up on a bottle jack, and the rear on the sled stand. I left the right side off the cradle, slid it under the sled, then screwed it together and slowly lowered the sled onto it. I thought it would be kind of shaky but it seems to be fairly solid. I rocked it around to see if I could get it to tip over, but it seemed ok. This isn't for long term use, and I think I'll got a manufactured on at the show in Milwaukee in October, but this will work for now.
