After a poor purchase decision on my part, I am stuck with this snowmobile lift:

I also have this wheel kit:

Due to the weight of our Yamaha sleds, the above wheels flex badly, especially the ones on the left, and the lift will not roll.

Does anyone else have this lift and if so, have you done any modifications to the wheels to alleviate the issue?

I've already had to replace the jack that came with the lift.

Ideally, I would sell this one and get an EazyMove lift with the polyurethane wheels but funds are extremely limited right now. We have to replace our septic leach field with a raised bed system. The contractor is estimating the cost to be north of $20k!

You can buy casters at Menards or Farm & Home or any Tractor Supply. The brackets flex? or the wheels?

I would do some searching for metal casters . I have metal on mine and roll my Vector LTX around very easy. If you have a Harbor Freight near you might be able to get them cheap.

Polyurethane Casters are great but you need to buy good one's and there expensive. I would go with a 2.5" or 3" caster and just put your skis on blocks so you can get the lift under the swaybar links . On the front bar of the lift that goes under the belly pad I put some sticky rubber so the sled won't slide around when moving. the bare metal is slippery on skid plates !

If the castor brackets flex too much because they fasten to the frame poorly, perhaps if they were welded on it would make the whole affair more rigid. The comments about bigger wheels are bang on, they will roll much easier.

I purchased one from princess auto and although it is built a bit stronger than the lift in your pics, I had to do some tweeking to make it the way I wanted it. I had legs made that support the running boards to lift the sled level and not on such a unbalanced angle.

The brackets flex something fierce. to the point where the lift frame rubs on the concrete.

either get taller casters or cheaper yet make some spacers to put between the casters and where they mount to the wheel kit itself Probably only need 1/4 inch. Then weld it all together and you should be good to go.

I am considering mounting my sled lift on 2 -2x6s and those on to 4 Harbor freight furniture movers.
My non slip textured floor is not the easiest to move on with small wheels so I am in a hesitating pattern. One thing I am good at is procrastinating so cant tell you how it works.
