Ok boy and I ran sleds last sat. and all was good, sled ran awesome,at every stop,i shut it down, and when ready to go,it started and ran great,as we were on our last leg of our 250 mile run,at 197 miles we stopped in Houlton maine at Docs fuel stop, topped off 93 like I have there so many times before this year. Filled it up,started it up,pulled over on the snow field, shut it down, went in for lunch, came back out 1/2 hr later,no go,never once sounded like it wanted to start, almost like I had the switch off and was just cranking it over, and over again. So we towed it to the Yamaha shop next door, and secured it for its day and a half stay till Monday. Well the mechanic, first tested the ECU,all good, still no go,swapped mine out to a new 2018 on the floor, and my ECU started that sled up fine. he checked regulator for pressure,it had 44lbs and was good, next he checked injectors,he removed one,and sprayed fuel directly into the injector hole, and sled fired up,still will not start. has anyone else had similar problem?

Sure sounds like relay issue Pete. Does the guage light up?

Sure you didn't grab a diesel hose? Man O’ Man that sucks Pete.
Not sure what is going on,
but whereas it fired once you removed an injector and squirted some gas in there, that seems to point toward the fuel system.
Sounds like a frozen fuel system but has not been that cold huh?
I had Starting problems at the beginning of the season. Much different then yours though. Mine would only fire on 1 or 2 and then stall immediately. After 10-15 tries I found that holding the throttle about 1/4 way would keep it running, but as soon as you let off it would stall because it was running fat!
They changed out lot’s of stuff. Injectors and fuel rail, regulator again, TPS, etc.
Sounded like it was a real pain for them
But anyways, I was told that they have had regulator problems with a couple of winders.
Hope they find the fix quick!

Wow you wont believe what it was guys,WATER one gal of water may have been pumped from the mobile in Mars hill station, than we ran out in the willie wacks around number 9 lake,it ran awesome at that time, but if I had driven much further,it would of shut down on me. Funny thing is,my boy pumped from another tank than I did, these are old pumps that don't even take cards. Glad the Houlton power sports fiddled around with it for 3 days and only billed me 4 hrs,wow great people there,i have bought 2 sleds from them,so that helps.

Glad to hear that your issue has been resolved.
Talk about bad gas!
I guess if it would have been colder, my assumption would have been close. Lol
That is the problem with buying 93, most vehicles run on 87 so the 93 tanks do not get used much until we come along.
Any riding left so that you can run some good gas through it Pete?

Yes right now I could if not for my turbo being bad,we are now waiting on new turbo from Yamaha,as mine has been leaking oil,the sled still running good, but they say its under warrenty, but next time we will be able to go back up with my son will be april 6th a Friday, and we may only make it by the skin of my teeth,as they close at 5;30 and we leave no Berwick at noon.Glad to hear that your issue has been resolved.

Well yeah get back up there and run some good fuel through that sled.
Just talking with my buddy, he is going riding tomorrow. Wasn’t sure where as of yet, but he just got off the phone with a local couple who frequent the Long Lake region, and they have been up there since this past weekend. Trails in that area are still superb. Too far for a day trip for my bud so he will probably travel an hour away for his day ride. But after this past weekend ride in the county( Stupendous trails) he would go back in a heartbeat for another 2 day ride.
So yeah, still some nice riding up there. So hope the weather holds for you Pete.
North Berwick to Houlton, 4.5 - 5 hour ride with no stops??
