Have these on my Nytro, and noticed today how crazy hot they get. I can't even touch the top of my headlight housing because it's so hot. Worried I am going to melt/burn something... Anybody have any experience with these?

Also, is there a way I can keep using the stock rubber bulb covers on the back of the housing, or do you just leave them off? Can't get the wider bulb diameter through the center of the rubber. Worried leaving them off will expose it to water or something...

Thanks!

Slit your rubbers a little bit :)

I had the stock rubber boots on mine. Tight but it fit. No slit

Did you have the same heat I'm talking about? No issues melting anything?

I know the bulbs get hot but I don't think I've ever touched the housing while they were on. I replaced them last weekend with LED's. No melting
