Like I was saying my clips are gone! I'm using only the slps and I have a pioneer wheel extender kit on along with the extra small wheel in front by the bend in the track rail ...plus running graphite hyfax with holes drilled in them for extra cooling when needed along with 1 & 1/8" wholes I just drilled in the center of track to allow for extra snow to come in...so I think its gonna be just fine ...over 3000 miles on graphite hyfax so far very little wear 5,200 miles on sled. I got 1,800 miles out of original hyfax, starting loosing clips at 2,500 thats when I added SLP wear pads.

What do you use to hold the pad to keep it from turning while tightening the nut?

I just put a flat screw driver under head of pad while tightening then pulled it out as they tightened down enough to stop spinning.

07 Attak
I have an 07 Attak, I went out yesterday with my second set of sliders for the season and man do they burn. I am sick of the smell of rubber and plastic. I called my dealer this mornig and of course they have sold about 95 sleds this year and I am the only one complaining!!!! They say "the sliders will wear down close to the line and they usually stop wearing". Well mine dont stop!! I bought this machine along with 3 other guys and we all have this problem.
Not sure whether to use the SLP pads or the wheels or both. I dont really want to get the mounts machined if I dont have to.
I wish Yamaha would demand Camoplast to fully clip the Rip Saw track.

wear pads
Like most answers here, they are are just opinions with no proof. I have used them, and am using them now. Anybody that says they work, or have less hyfax wear has no proof. I use them because it makes sense that they do help, but you can get a set of hyfax for the cost of the pads. They do wear out fast. I wore out a set of hyfax in 500 miles when using them. I figure if they make my track clips wear longer, they are worth it.

did you take the plastic shields out of them and change them out for the yamaha ones??
you need to change the shields. polaris shields fit over a smaller bushing.
