I just put SLP powder pros on my 05 ,im very happy with them I had also made a 1/4" shim for them.
The darting is GONE, this is with 9" carbides and no studs(9" carbides just last longer that why i run them). The floatation is excellent ,instead of plowing though the deep snow it pops up on top and takes right off.I can drive on and off the trail or road at high speed without worring about being sucked off the trail. Also it made the sled not nearly as tippy.I think the tippyness comes from the skis darting.I have the 13mm sway bar alsh yes and it turns way sharper in the soft snow now.
With the stock skis when you let off the gas it would get noticably dartier from side to side. With the slps and shims I can let right go of the bars and the sled goes straight, its that much of a difference.
I pulled the shims out to see how much difference just the skis make. Some of ther darting came back ,still not as bad as stock skis. And the sled was tippy again.I wish I would have tried the shims last year.
Only thing negative is before when you would hit a snow drift it would plow right through it ,now you feel it .When your trying to come out of a ditch at an angle it wants to stay flat on the snow making me go back into the ditch, instead of the inside ski dropping through the snow and coming out at an angle.
I paid less than 340.00 shipped with 9" carbides.Best money ive ever spent on a sled.

The shim is 1/4" by 2"x1",you have to put it under the rubber behind the spindle, which makes the front of the ski come up slightly.I used aluminum and drilled a hole through the middle of the shim and through the ski saddle and bolted it together, there is plenty of room under the saddle for a small bolt and nut.Skis dont come with rubber so your going to have to round up a set.

Worked very good in the trail.Weve only got (actually had as its raining right now) about a foot of snow.In the back of my property its all field and has at leat 3 foot of drifts ,that were I was triing it out to see how the floatation was.
One other thing i had forgot to mention is when running down the side of a road where its plowed and has norrow band of snow between gravel and the ditch,I can run right along the top of the snow without ending up back in the gravel or the ditch like the stock skis.

I'm very happy with the PPs. I got a set of Simmonds late last season, to see if they are as great as everybody says, with no darting and flatter cornering.
Instead I got push in the corners, especially in sloppy stuff, and heavier steering.

So the P.P. take the cake! I see tons and tons of snow cross guys run them, that is what sold me!

The pp's are almost identical to the new yami moutain ski's

My main issue with the PPs is that they are so wide you don't get full coverage out of most tie-down bars. Not a problem on most roads, but when you hit those bad Maine roads, the skis can bend out from under the bars and the sled skip out. Happened to me twice last year, to and from Rangeley. But the roads were really bad, both were in one trip.
Trailered bunches of miles to QC and around NH without a problem...
