sneak peek tonight

You probably won't see the red one if they have the same sleds that were in Blaie. But still fun to see them again. Ask about the chain set and production date, would be interesting to see if you get the same answers I did. Have fun.

We had a partially disassembled Viper at Milwaukee.Take lots of pics. Chaincase was open. But keep in mind till we get them anything can change.

If you get the one that came from Grand Rapids michigan just remember the production one's will not come with the painted side panels like it has. So I was told by a number of reps......That sled looked sooo much better then the colored plastic one there.

I will be getting the red as well but the blue and white sure is good looking brand new, however after awhile it gets dirty quick. The red viper in my trailer still looks new, taking it out again today!

Do keep in mind that your viper is painted, not colored plastic

Hold on so which is it painted or colored plastic I'm totally confused!!!! :o|

My wife likes the candy red Yamaha has used on the 4 strokes.
Maybe it wouldn't be that expensive to recoat if the plastic is already factory coated.

Well guys same old story on the chaincase its been updated. No red one at the show which is a bummer. If the viper comes with as good of fit and finish as the cats at the show I will be happy they were head and shoulders nicer then the vipers in fit and finish. Sat on the new Does again and I just don't like the ergonomics of it and the seat is wayyy to soft. Happy with my decision

The hood is painted but the side covers are colored plastic.

And it still looks great, I don't get your point. Put another 20 miles on today and loving the new chassis. Can't wait for tomorrow, this sled is incredible.

I made it to the Fargodome as well to see the new sleds.

I hate to admit this, but I am not impressed with the fit and finish of the new Cat's. I held my breath saying that in the Yamaha booth as I kept reminding myself that "these are prototypes"

Missing handlebar pads, missing windshield rvets/connectors, way too much exposed metal components that looked like they were stamped out of aluminum foil.

It's a very cool looking sled from a distance, and the ride/performance should be great. I just cannot get over how much nicer the finish was on the Vector and Apex's in the same row.

The SkiDoo prototypes were as close to final delivery as you could get. Obviously the 900 Ace MXZ and GSX used most of the same components, but the handlebars had major changes with their new throttle system and info system. But they were clean installs and looked good. The only thing were the drive mode/eco buttons, which looked like they were added late.

Other than that, Yamaha Apex, Vector, and SkiDoo MXZ, Renegade, GSX had way better polish on their 2014's than the Viper/AC camp. The smell of velveeta was super cheesy.

This is not different than other first year out sleds for Yamaha, so don't get discouraged if you ordered one. But AC has no excuse.

I thought the cats looked OK, not as good as the doo but up to par with the polaris. The el tigre looked kinda shoddy but the rest were fine. Keep in mind nothing we saw at the dome was final product but the doo products were really nice.
