I have not used anything but what the sled came with besides the snow trackers so i am going to try the Doolys and see as there lots cheaper! Less then 2000 miles on the snow trackers and there gone. 170.00 to replace the wear bars is a bit steep. and over 200.00 for the kit as i need the entire kit as the fins wore all most all off. They do work well and i will use use again if i dont like the doolys.

They don't work the best if you have the deep single v ski guides on your trailer and they really bite in loose, sand, gravel or mud. Other than that they are no different than any other wear bar.

Gotta put new guides on my trailers cause I love my Sno Trackers.
You know when two year old, 4,000 mile Sno Trackers still eat your tall groove ski guides for lunch that they got one heck of a carbide.
Good thing I got a drive through trailer cause backing off is not an option with the tall ski guides and these sharp carbides.

So last year doing the RAP Tour I bent the crap out of my carbides. After considerable research (this forum) and lots of feedback from fellow owners (this forum) I went with a set of aggressive Snowtracker carbides on my 2009 RS Venture GT on the original skis.
My Yamaha guy was really against them, and I was doubtful after seeing them. Will these actually work?
But last weekend i finally got to try them. IT WAS FANTASTIC. I could have sworn power steering had been installed. It was effortless to steer, there was zero darting and even with a medium stud set up no problem. We did a couple of hundred ams and it was a pleasure.
To everyone who advised me, thanks.
Hi GB guy, what what the snowtracker model that you put on your venture?

I believe, after 14k miles on two sets in Northern Wisconsin and The Yoop, and all thanks to the recommendations from others here, if you trail ride and don't agree, you don't have them setup right. You can ride any conditions without having to worry or deal with any handling annoyances. You can ride the sled as if it is a motorcycle on dry, prepped pavement. I bought an Apex last month and I am not even going to feel out the carbides on it. It is getting aggressive Snow trackers put on today as well as the Vector. I will say that you have to ride them with a purpose because they RAIL. This may be because I use aggressives. I feel they wear down and loosen up a bit closer to the semis, so why even bother with the semi? It's all in the throttle and your weight placement when navigating non-straight trail sections. Back off the front shock collars to drop the front, ski toe at 0, cat man suspension setup, limiter full loose or one hole up a, Dupont slides, 3.5in riser, and 13mm sway bar. If have never had a scary moment, but once in a while the U-Blade may catch an edge someone else's skis dug into a corner or where the groom is uneven. I wore a pair to the metal bar in one season last year (5k miles) and I thought they were still working fine. I checked at the end of the season as I didn't want to face how bad they were and potentially have to replace them late in the season, and just the metal bar remained. They still worked though
