Snowtrackers on Tuner skis

Snowtrackers will fit on all tuner I,II and III Yamaha's. Why do you want Apex skins on a Winder for, did you have a stroke

I was looking for a single keel ski to add the Sno Trackers too and I have a set of Apex Skis. It looks like I am going to add the Trackers to my double keel Winder skis

I have now done both, adding Trackers to the single keel AC skis, and adding Trackers to the Yamaha Tuner III's. Overall, my first choice would be the AC skis with Trackers; however, I now have about 500 miles on my Tuners/Trackers, and so far they have been very good. I have noticed more pushing in the loose snow than I did with the AC/Tracker combination, but overall, they have performed very well. I did 220 miles on Canadian trails last Saturday; they were hard packed and it was well below zero. The Tuner/Tracker combo was flawless in those conditions. The next day I did rode trails with 6-10" of fresh powder, and noticed some "pushing" in the corners at lower speeds, but I found that when I rode more aggressively, they performed well.

The reality is that with the Trackers, there is so much metal bolted to the bottom of the Tuners that they bear little resemblance to the original Tuner skis, and they perform very well. If you are riding your Winder with the Tuners, get those Snow Trackers on ASAP, and you will be pleasantly surprised at how your sled handles.

Thank you I am going to order them for my tuners and try that. I have Pilots with Shaper bars, but I like my friends Trackers better.

The snowtrackers for the tuner III double carbide is a modified version of the single keel snowtracker, better than stock but not as effective as single keel. I went with stock Arctic Cat single keel skis and put traditional aggressive snowtrackers on. They are unreal, turn on a dime, almost too much on hard pack tight trails!

I feel you are probably correct--that dual keel is a mess--and the single keel is proven. I have a 2015 RS Venture TF with the big 151 inch track--what ski and carbide set up would you suggest? (semi or Aggressive for Trail riding)

Thanks guys for the input I'll mess around a little with my setup and see how it goes. But I have a feeling a set of Curve skis are in the future.

WHat did you end up finding worked best? Been watching this close for my 15 RE Venture TF

I think someone could write a book in answer to your question. The bottom line is that everyone's riding style is different, and everyone's sled is set up differently. How my trackers hold depends upon how aggressively I am riding, what the snow/trail conditions are, and what settings I have my QS3 shocks on. There are so many variables! The bottom line with the aggressive trackers is that they are what they say they are, they are more "aggressive," and they will hold when the semi-aggressive trackers might not. I can't say they never push; I suspect that there isn't a ski/carbide combination made that won't push in the right conditions. If your carbides won't push at all in loose snow, you might not like the way they feel when you are riding hard-pack. You actually hear people complaining about trackers because they are too aggressive, giving examples of roll-over accidents, etc. I suspect that most of those problems are with the aggressive trackers. I have run the semi-aggressive on the old Yamaha skis, Arctic Cat Skis, and now Tuners, and I have found that they outperform anything else I have ever tried on any of those skis. If I am getting push in corners, I usually click my front and rear QS3's to a firmer setting, and I am good to go. As I said, if there is enough loose snow, I am not sure anything will hold in it. I now have over 7.000 miles with trackers on my Tuner 3's, and by adjusting my suspension and my riding style to the conditions, I have always been very happy with them.

i just installed a set of bergstroms triple carbide, comes with ski savers and shims. A ton of people swear by them but order early, he gets backed up by months. Haven't been out with them yet. Will report back when I try them. I have a 05 rs vector that comes with the traditional push in corners.

I've ran the Bergstoms tripes on my 1200 Doo before. I sure don't swear by them, but I will swear at them! They push, still dart and didn't last me a weekend before the carbide cracked and started falling out!! He didn't stand by them. I sent them in, he looked at them, painted them gold and sent them back with new ski savers. He didn't replace the broken and falling out carbide or nothing. Not the way you do business. UNREAL & Never again! There junk IMO. I didn't see anything good about them at all.

Aggressive Snowtrackers are where it's at. I still have the original set on I bought initially and have run on many sleds now. They go where pointed, don't dart and make the steering easier. They last forever if you keep the front hard welded up. We have pretty poor trails here so the hard weld up front on the curve is a must. I've replaced the correctors once and they need replaced again, but the carbides last what seems forever, it's unreal. I run them on 5.7 Doo Race skis. Drawbacks are they will pick up certain size stones or dirt clumps now and again, and in certain snow loose conditions right around freezing they can push more. Not perfect, but for 90% of the time they are real close.
