Well..
Going of everyone's reccomendations and getting a pair for my Apex GT. The only thing I have to say is that they are a bit pricey.
for an heavy machine they reccomend the Extreme Agressive

its
$228.92 for the pair
$26.00 shipping by UPS
Plus $ for custom duty paid
Plus Tax of your State

But it is cheaper than new skis

Royal Distributing sells them for $199.99 Cdn until December 1st, then their prices go up 10%

Thanks!

I bought a set after all the positive feedback I've heard. One question for those with them installed, where does the long plastic strip go? Does this go on first? What is its function?

Unless they've changed something, there is no plastic strip. You may be thinking of the flat metal plate with the wings and the long tip. You will have to drill an extra hole in the front of each ski for that tip to go in. The wings get rid of the darting by not allowing the runners to follow another skis ruts in the trail. The following carbide is free to carve it's own path.

With each runner/plate combo I also recieved a long wide plastic strip about 1/8" thick and about 2" wide. It is quite a bit longer than the plate.

You should have gotten instruction's but i am quite sure the steel channel goes on first then the plastic and then the wear bar goes up through the whole thing with a bolt holding the front tight to the ski's. I had a pair of aggressive on my Apex last year and got a pair of trail for my Phazer that i don't have on yet. kviper
