Your in the right forum to be convinced , I give you 2 days of leisure reading.
Like Rockerdan says, extremely tough to get the rear transfer with a 137".
I laboured 129 vs 137 for months but went with 137 only for high speed stability, only I never went much past 105mph.

My brother and I both have an apex and a SW. He's 6'4" and prefers his apex. You'll occasionally see a comment from guys over 6'2" that don't love the SW. I think he'll come around eventually. Just something to think about since the seating position is dramatically different.

X2Get the 129 if you can find one .I now have an le 137 and wish i would have gotten the 129 as the 129 seems to transfer better .Low engagement set up ,you'd be good to go .

Will be a whole lot more interesting this winter as we now have a 129 and two 137 in the group, and will do lots of back to back, really hoping the guys who told me last yr the 129 had great transfer were correct...I believe it though, as my 12 129" did do that well.
Nice thing is its easy to dial too much transfer OUT(if need be) but as I found last season, the 137 was not able to get it to transfer at all, It would need a relocation of the arm IMO. Block removal and longest strap did basically nothing. So corner to corner was very poor.

From the riding you say you do..definitely get the 129! I did this year..snow checked a RTX 50th. Coming off an Apex too. Dealer told me I'll miss the Apex for about 0 seconds after getting on this new Winder...so we'll see??

I had 2 Apes and although that engine singing at 10k plus is music to the ears I will never sit on another one. My bad back thanks me for going to the Procross....I mean SRV chassis
I don't remember reading one single post on here from somebody that regretted replacing their Apex with a Winder.
I still own both and I can tell you ,when i jump back on the Apex it makes me chuckle because it lacks in so many categories compared to the Sidewinder. It really does feel obsolete.
Let me put it this way.....you can set up your Apex and think it's the balls until you spend some seat time on a winder.
Yes there's some really fast boosted Apex's and Vipers out there and they have some $$ in them to get them to go and the Winder isn't cheap, but out of the box it's a Damn good all around sled! Just please, for your own safety.....throw away those god damn stock skis!

I've had good results with curves, on the apex (with slim jims) and a Rev we tried them on.I don't remember reading one single post on here from somebody that regretted replacing their Apex with a Winder.

My first feeling was an rtx 129 would be best, but others say I need the longer track...From the riding you say you do..definitely get the 129! I did this year..snow checked a RTX 50th.
