So whos snowchecking

Man there are going to be a lot of blue LTX'LE's in maine next winter, bro where do you ride out of,i have a 4 bedroom in Patten maine.
Thankfully I had two years away from all that power, and I was almost content with 155 or whatever the 15 ape xtx was,it did 111 gps on crappy snow so in perfect conditions maybe 115 gps,but I would not hold my breath, but I remember the big turdbo cat, running along at 112 to 115 and not even puffing,so it may last me the first season stock lol time will tell. I will stud this one,i had my cat studded just down middle and it was ok.

Like anyone else from Central Maine, if you want to ride great trails, one needs to trailer!

Past couple of years my riding has been mainly out of Solon. Found some trails that are fast and smooth only about 1.25 hours from home. The snow belt area has been in that region for the past 2 years, kinda neat and being close to home with such great trails and I do like fast smooth trails. Also rides from Berrys at the Forks or a bit further North to just past What use to be Red Buck camps, (was there last Saturday with a bud, Parlin is still frozen, )from there to Pittston farm area! But of coarse you cannot beat the county, still in awe every time we do a county week or long weekend. So many favorite trails, Van Buren, Madawaska roller coaster, Easton and Fort Fairfield 's field and wood trails... Wow! Expansive trail systems second to none in Maine anyways. Only better in Canada but haven't been there in a while.

Patten yes, I have ridden to the South and North of that, Millinocket and Shin Pond but never out of Patten.
Do you ride from there to the county or back towards Millinocket? Surely is a nice spot (Northern entrance Mt. Katahdin) very picturesque huh? A work associate parents bought a place up there a few years ago just for riding!! They really enjoy the area.

As you said MNM, gonna be lots of blue LTX-LE on the trails! Kinda reminds me of the 98-02 SRX era, Ohlins special order, they were beauties and fast with a few mods.

Yes sir,i was just watching while on the phone with donna from russells motel, the boys just arrived tonight at 6 pm and left for a short sprint to van buren at 7pm,18 min. ago,i was watching from her cam,as it did update but just was not picking up the traffic, she said she will have the guy who set it up check tomorrow. here trails from there are almost perfect,in fact gary's Yamaha which is on rt 161 just out of town, will have two sidewinders there this coming Tuesday the 29th,john did not know if they would still have snow, but unless we get 2-3" of hard warm rain,i think he will be all set to test drive them,i start back to work on mon. the 28th so I cant be there,to bad you could not go up,they might let you try one lol,now that would be fun. Love our little house in patten, its a 4 bedroom, small two story, with detached garage and a place to keep our stuff,we 4-wheel out of there to,patten has over 100 miles of 4-wheeler trails as well as 120 miles of sled trails, and we are in the County,if I go 2000 ft out back I hit the crystal line,my farther was born in a small town called benedicta ,one exit south of Sherman, sherman is just 9 miles south of my house, and I have my cousin watch the place for me,he is 1/4 mile north on rt 11,right acrossed from the hanger restraint, which is connector ITS112,shoots north to island falls or west back to shin pond on club trail 62 out to ITS81/85 south or north at the intersection,i can be in oxbow,in 1.5 hrs or less, depending on trail condition and traffic, than take ITS86 east back to Houlton or mars hill and on up to caribou.

I would like a red RTX-SE, 129 RR, 1.75 paddle. Short and as nimble as possible. If the 1.75 digs in too much, I could trim it shorter to loosen up the sled a little. Spinning donuts and sliding around sounds like fun.

LTX - SE Orange and Black. For my style of riding I think the SE will be fine. I ride trails 100% and do not run hard when they get rough.. But like to hammer when trails are good and flat.. really like the orange color.. And Coming from Cat I just cant do Blue yet! First Yamaha ever for me. Cheers

I got 5,000 km from my first belt. Now I change them once a year or every oil change which ever comes first.

Chains, Gears Drive shaft all still original.

Probably will change them out at 6,000 miles just as preventative maitenance.

Of course it is an Apex, not a money pit Turbo Cat.
Yes,aint that the truth, you will never see that many miles on a cat turbo,at least if you wick it up like most of us power pigs like too.

I came from Cat , and 6 sleds later , still no Blue yet !
And the SW will be mostly White with a little red , once I get finished swapping out panels on the hood and trim , skis , snowflap etc.

Dealer info, called Hackers to get a price, sales person indicated to me that if you order a Sidewinder LTX-LE that qualifies for the 600.00 accessory credit, where as if you order a Sidewinder LTX-SE that doesn't, I replied that seems to go against the Yamaha ad. So does anyone know if Hackers is correct or not?

I'll be ordering my RTX-SE in Black/Orange tomorrow. The first thing I'll do when I get it us remove all the stickers off the grey panel an paint it black, then clear coat over that. Then, the stickers on the tunnel are coming off. Besides that and ECU reflash, Clutching, studding and exhaust. Can't wait and so glad to be back on a Yamaha.
