Solid motor mounts

Ohhh Ted one other thing this is between us so , you must drive your own rig, Just means a little clutch work, I weigh in most times at 200 just to give you even stevens, so guess one of us is headin to the gym, Agreed buddy, by the way I have a few freinds who are going to help out on this project, I think you know a few of them, one other thing how do you put them cute little guys up there punchingin the eye , They,re so cute, lol

Weight with driver is 725 lbs. Min, doesn't who rides it.

I weigh 310 with gear so Not going to happen.

I build them, I don't ride them.

Sounds like your backpedling now.

I already set the guidelines, You agreed don't try and change them.

Cmon man ride it, just think how wonderful it would be kicken my but with you on it, not back pedddlin just was hopin I could see you pullin the trigger, oh well I was going to build my sled at 725 lol that big turbo weighs atleast 75 itself.

Maybe one of you should build a rear mount and make some real power to compensate, then... HA!

MulotTurbo,

Ah, how about both?

Real power, a V8 should do, both guys have built powerful auto engines, but in a sled hahaha some heavy sled LOL

Hey Rxrider - less posting from you and more time working on the seat!! I want a RIDE REPORT!

Sorry to detour, but could this be my problem? In the picture at the very bottom of the secondary sheeve there is some major casting imperfections. There is actually some shrapnel pieces sticking out. I just don't know if the belt goes that low into the sheeve to contact them? Is this normal?

No appologies, necessary your thread was Hyjacked way off topic.

I can deduce 2 things from the picture, your belt was very worn to the point where it sinks too far in to the bottom of the driven, or there is something allowing it to open too far, both of which can blow a belt.

There should never be belt marks that deep in the driven.

Some aftermarket Helixes allow the driven to open too far.

Those Casting flashings are common and you can take a sanding roll to them to clean them up and reduce stress risers in the driven sheaves.

I do this quite often.

Your welcome to call me to discuss the specifics so we can resolve your belt problems.

No apologies to you Zross , we did hyjack your deal here and got carried away, Like Ted said should not have belt going that deep, Ted will help with good advice.

Hahaha - Actually I have the tank off to mold a fibreglass bottom for the seat, it should be rock solid by now. Let the cutting of the seat begin. I'm not far away from fireing up, need the gas tank back in, add some fuel and crank her over, gotta check all connections for leakage. Then finish off the seat and mounting hardware for seat and tank.
