Thanks for all the help ! new starter relay solved the non start in cold weather. old one green and not looking so good so likely the moisture as others mentioned haunted the starting in the cold weather. with the new relay left sled out two days two nigthts at minus 15 and started no problem !

was the starter relay right beside the battery that the jumper cables attach to . there are pics and part numbers on posts from early last week. solved problem ! hows lake of bays running?

was on my own last week so i did not run it.
i have heard mixed opinions, but not talked to anyone who has run the length. although i'm sure it's being done. some large lakes pretty slushy.
but since saturday there has been more cold so i'm sure things will tighten up soon.
