Somebody stop me

Tork I know eight of us 05 guys are trading up, but we trade every year. Most of them have 6000 or more miles on them. They all have zerks and modifications to the cable boots. They all have been trouble FREE. So far they will be APEX GT's.

Must be nice to trade up every season. My minimum wage won't allow that. Living in home with dirt floors, a thatch roof, and no plumbing has the neighbors wondering why I ride a sled worth more than my home.

What? You sayin' that Ted's Montana ranch will be an *upgrade* for ya? :tg:

IMHO 06 is probably the best year to buy a Yamaha. You are just not going to see much more in advancements for a bit and if the dollar slides more against the yen you could see prices 10% higher next year. Unless you are thinking Vector which could get FI and the delta box II for 07.
I think if you do see a turbo it will be mountain only. with a 162" track

You have made good choices in the past. Don't know what to tell you on this. What more can they really do other than maybe a turbo or supercharger.

The more I think about it...the more I wouldn't be surprised to see them add a spooler option for '07. It would fit in perfectly with their marketing platform and round out the Apex line and the market by having a super high performance model...and would also explain why they only increased the HP for '06 enough to be able to call it the *Genesis 150* and a *150HP class* engine.

They suck all the people in this year with itchy trigger fingers who have to be the first on the block with the new model...then refine and upgrade the platform in the years following to keep the sleds rollin' out the door...

It's the Yamaha way!

Geeeze...

Upgrade what?

How much more does anyone need?

Man, these are nice friken sleds now!

Maybe they will release anti-gravity, so we wont feel any bump at all????

SRXBOB,
I dont have a single worry about the 06 sleds. The new FI, radiator, block and crank are no brainers for Yamaha with all their motorcycle expertise.
Plus you can bet these are well tested with the Factory guys riding test mules all season and possibly last year too.
Lots of guys have put on taller Boss seats and handlebar risers and no complaints there.
The mono shock is refined and now has zerks. They RS front end geometry is great and well tested. Follow your passion Bob without worry :drink:

The fact that they didn't put zerks on the skid in the first place has to make you wonder about new changes as well. If they can miss something as simple as that - I wouldn't assume anything is a lock.

I love my warrior. but I want F.I. think I will wate 1 year or so to see if there are any bug's with the fulie. think snow! :4STroke:

State of the art is here and gone in but a fleeting second...

With the way technology is accelerating...these sleds will be considered archaic in four or five years...

However...I think you may be on to something with that *anti gravity* thing! Yeah...the *lunar rover* rear skid...you can ride it summer or winter and floats on a constant six inch cushion of air over the contours of the trail... Makes bumps a thing of the past...so no more jarring to the body or parts to wear out... ;)!

Hmmmm....and for the next 15 years till they come out... we're got to ride these crude POS... :D

BTW...surely you have noticed that the *Ultimate Performance* category has disappeared with the release of the '06's?

I have no doubt that there will be a future release to cover that segment of the market...and none of the current iterations of the Apex is it....

I agree, especially since this is really solid platform and motor and not really a new release. I disagree on the Yen because the snowmobile market is so small in terms of Yamaha's revenue. The US dollar will continue to decline, or at least stay at the extremely low levels, until the U.S. addresses its twin deficiets. They just hit an all time record in 2004 and 2005 isn't looking any better.

Impalapower, you forget to mention that you also still live at home with your parents. LaLaLa

I've been watching Japanese Companies for 30 years! Anytime the dollar takes a dive, new products come from Japanese manufacturers.

The only reason Yamaha released this much new product is due to the positive forecast for profit in the Americas. Profits will be strong for Japanese products for the next 5 years, at least!
