Something completely different (Kudos to Twin Turbo)

Wow, boost is addictive!

Had a great deal of fun running the car this weekend. We've got it in the ball park now, so I will begin data logging next weekend to really fine tune. Still getting used to the extra power and different power delivery. Anyway, really tired, but VERY happy. Quick video (no comments on how early I'm braking....) HD option available:

Thanks for the help this weekend, Greg!

Scary until you get used to the power. I love the sound of your car wow.

Keep us posted on how she runs :)

hahahaha tell me about it :)

Ok, here are a couple quick videos from the last event. This happened to be one the national events, so it isn't a great place to test/tune. Both videos are from the same run.

Car mounted GoPro:

Slow motion filmed by a friend (and professional) who was playing around at the site. His videos and stills are great tools after an event to see how the car is working. (Mako Koiwai - Thanks Mako!)

I'm still working on the tune and getting the boost set correctly. Blew the throttle bodies off the head on the first run. A tie down strap worked for later runs.

I'm having some permanent brackets made while I'm away this week to address the intercooler issue. (Greg warned me about it, but I hadn't had time to address before this event.) Hopefuly, I'll be able to run a PCA event this Sunday and get more settings tuned. (My weather is a tad different than most of you run!)

And hopefully things will slow down a bit so I can post more details and some data. (I'm logging on a DL1.)

Are you even able to get to use the power on a track like that? Seems like your about 30% throttle most of the time? Looks like a rocket ship if you got it out on a runway and put the pedal to the metal!

Yeah, we spend very little time at full throttle. But I still use every hp availabLe at some point on the course. Those wings have an astonishing amount of drag. A lot depends on the individual course design. The more open, the more throttle. Or if there are pinch turns, more throttle coming out of them.

Looks awesome! I wonder if anti-lag would be beneficial to you. Not launch control but like the rally cars use when you hear them letting off the throttle coming into corners they pop & bang which is actually keeping the turbo spooled and the engine at a slightly higher rpm (you set the rpm point) so when you get back on the throttle you have instant boost with zero lag. I am sure Greg knows what I'm talking about and I do believe his EMS system is capable of this. Looks like a lot of fun that's for sure.

It certainly wouldn't hurt, but I'm thinking it will be easy to drive around. It would be nice to shoot flames out the turbo though.

Ran more laps at a PCA event this past Sunday. Getting much closer now. I'm working up the video with data overlay and will post as soon as it is complete.

I've been having fits creating gauges that will show the boost and AFR. In the meantime, here is one with minimal data. The GNS engine made it through 7 runs with no issues. Need to start playing around with clutch settings.

Not a ton of new to report. The engine set up is running pretty darn good. With the clutch changes (going stiffer setting on secondary) I'm getting expected results. Finally hit 1.158g forward acceleration on Saturday's run. (Previous best was .9g.)

A couple of videos:

This weekend I'm focusing on brakes, as they aren't currently up to the speeds I'm able to hit.
