Has anyone changed the bushing located at the base of the spindle where the ski bolt goes through? My skis are so loose at base of the spindle it isn't even funny. I went to put my skis to the narrowest setting since we got around 40cm of snow the other night. Talk about a loose front end. No wonder the sled has a mind of its own.
I put in oilites in my RXM front end this fall and the ski bolt spindle bushings were gone there too. I haven't read about anyone changing them out.

ulmer racing has ski-bolt bushings that will tighten that right up, along with oilite bushings my front end has little to no play in it
x2, i belive the ulmer kit is the only solution other than new spindles. the oe bushings are very thin wall.

I replaced mine last week. The bushings had about 9000 kms on them, and they were shot!
I sprayed the bushings with wd40 and knocked them out with a flat screwdriver and a hammer.

Pete if you do get the ones from ulmer remember the mtx bushing is longer then the standard ones.I don't know if Ulmer carries both.

If you're gonna replace the spindle bushings, go with up bushman's spindle kit. It may cost a little more up front but you have piece of mind that your spindles won't crack at the bottom, plus no more rusting collars and washers (because up bushman's kit is all stainless). It's worth it. Just my opinion.

Mine are wiped out at under 1000 miles. Looking at the whole ulmer front end job as my spindles have about 1/16 play in them. But what is the up bushman kit and how can I look into that?

I went with UP bushmans spindle kit at the end of last season and so far they've held up really good. Would recomend his kit.
Got an email from Ulmer, their spindle bushing info follows:
"Steel-Backed PTFE-Coated Bronze—These bearings have a steel shell and a bronze lining, which is coated with a thin layer of low-friction PTFE. They resist corrosion and water absorption. They also have the highest load capacity of metal-backed bearings."
I think I am going to give them a shot for next season.

I just ordered the UP bushman Premium Spindle Bushing Kit. Hopefully it's a better option . I'm really getting irritated that every time I lift the front of the Nytro somethings loose. I only put a little over 700 miles on it this year and I still need to replace parts.
