I am in the process of totally flat-blacking my 05 RX-1 ER LE. I have found a set of black belly pan sides, and a black nose piece, but want all black.
The only thing on the front suspension that isn't are the spindles. Thinking of having them powdercoated satin black to complete the effect. Anyone have any experience with a powder coater to do it?
I am converting to a Expert X suspension also, and will have the rails, suspension arms, and all shafts sent out and anodized also to match, anyone ever dissasemble an expert x? Is it eay or hard to do?

I was thinking of sanding the cast surface off of them, then possibly bondoing them to smoothe them out prior to the powerdercoat.
I just want to black it out is all.

I did mine last year, without sanding. I didn't have the time to sand, and with the job that was done, I don't see a need to. No bubbles, but the finish is not perfectly smooth either. If the sled is on the ground, you have to be really close to notice it. Also, after running over hundreds of small Adler and Ash trees 6' and shorter, they still look great.

I already have the black panels set aside, black windsheild and grab bar (powder coated flat black) I am considering doing the same with the spindles...DAVEYBOY, post some pics so we can see how they look.
You may want to consider having them anodized black. It would be much more durable.

Where can anodizing be done do u know it may be a option still havent got my parts back
I am in Mass too

There are many places that anodize... best bet for your area is yellow pages/ online search, or ask at your local machine shop as they are sure to know. I've had parts done in Pittsfield, MA, which is near me.
