Hi guys! Bit of a rookie here but..won wonder if I can get some info..I've seen were people have changed out primary and secondary for 7000 cat rapid response clutches..with sum good and some bad..I have a bad primary on my 15 viper and access to a brand new rapid response primary.. looking on gates site biggest difference in belt is a 26 to a 28 angle..Has anyone tried it? Worth trying? Appreciate any and all opinions

If it’s the newest style I would. Has to be the self adjusting belt deflection style or I would not bother and entire system not just clutches. Shaft, bearings everything. It works well.

I have the 7000 and while some of the things I've heard about earlier Cat clutches had me a little afraid, I LOVE the Cat clutches. Easy maintenance, good belt life, and low engagement! I had a Nytro and anyone that's ridden one of those knows what they are like to ride around the yard/parking lots. The only issue is the belts are more expensive. And on this forum I continually see people asking about a soft start spring. If you can make it work, go for it!
