Guys, which year of SRX skid frame are you using for asphalt? Is there one that fit better? What about V-Max4 skid frames?

The only Vmax-4 skid fram that will work is the 1997 model. Otherwise any year SX or SRX will work. I would opt for the 00-01-02 year SRX's to use one out of due to the increased weight transfer.
srxspec, I don't think we want weight transfer on tar, we just want it lowered to the ground as much as possible with maybe 1" of travel. Thanks for the answers though, that gives me a start at what to look for. The stock skid is hard to crunch down.

hlmrx1 - I have pro116's 98 srx skid in mine as we speak, shocks set soft, and it transfers perfect. I can help you set one up like mine, just PM me.

what changes have you made?how many wheels?
what are you'r 60ft xs and are they consistent?
I ask because I'm using a 01 srx w/stock skid and
I fluctuate between 1.455 and 1.799 never seems consistent?

Guys you can use a 98 skid frame just put a 00 or newer transfer rod on.
sofa king can you post a pic of your sled sitting on the asphalt from a side view of the whole sled,it would give people a better idea in helping you tune it in.

You can also use the stock skid with just srx shocks. I've got my stock warrior skid with srx shocks, tied down, with 1 set of wheels at the bend in the rail and am running 1.5 60' times. There is still plenty left too, hopefully 1.4's soon. I did do some minor cutting to take the 10.5" track though.

Sofa - My 60 ft. was 1.46-1.48 all the time.
I had the hyfax saver wheels on the rear part of the skid, before the reare wheels. and on the front by the torque arm. I had 2 extra Wahl wheels on an axle in front of the rear wheels, behing the short scissor arm.

I think I remember you saying you don't run a front shock. Think that has anything to do with it?

I ran the srx shocks all the way around. Stiffest setting in front, and roughly 3/4 inch of thread showing in the 2 rear shocks, on the soft setting.
