Just tried to start my machine after a summers rest.Just a "click" and no cluster or lights. Disconnected and reconnected the connector at the battery and now it rolls over but still no cluster or lights. Rolled it for 15 or 20 seconds and a bit of choke but no go. Any thoughts?

put a jump pack on it and make sure you have a full charge. I don't think the gauge will come on unless its running on the RX.

That is correct. No light or gauge until the sled starts. If it sat all summer untouched it will need what MrSled suggested charge battery and it will take more than 20 seconds on the starter to start.

Also, if it sat for the summer and you haven't done anything else, clean your carbs, especially the slow speed jets! They will be gummed up with the 'classy' fuel we get today. At the very least, do a search for threads on 'priming RX1' as there are some tricks to getting fuel to your carbs before your battery or starter dies!!! Your fuel system will be dry after sitting, and it takes some priming to get the fuel back in.

Yep you should clean the carb. I had no problems for the past 3 years because I religiously started my sled every 2 to 3 weeks over the summer and had never had an issue. This last summer i was busy doing a kitchen reno and forgot. Damn thing wouldn't stay running at idle. Cleaned em up and shes good to go.

If you want to put less strain on the starter, remove the fuel tank vent hose under the clutch cover and blow air into it and hold your thumb on it (pressurizes the tank and get's fuel to the carbs quicker).
