I have both of these sleds and I am wondering why the SRX is so easy to steer and the Phazer is harder to steer. Is there anything I can do to my Phazer to make it steer as easy as my SRX?

Rider forward sleds, put much more of your weight over the skis, also the 4stroke engine in the phazer will certainly add to the ski pressure compared to the SRX.

I heard this method a lot of times, but i just can't picture where the shim is supposed to go? They're talking a big, thick shim too! I couldn't get a credit card between my spindle and the rubber, or if i put it under the rubber, i'd never get the ski bolt in! I guess i'm lost? Anyone have a picture please?

I got someone to push down on the spindle to get the bolt back on. My brother was almost standing on it.

The guy is talking a piece of an old belt! Another guy uses pieces of slide. That's 3/4"! Between the bottom of the spindle and the factory rubber pad, or between the rubber pad and the ski? Still lost.
Pictures someone?

It works great I did it to my AC Mountian cat after reading it on here. I used a ratchet strap.
Here are pics and explaination made simple.

^^^ Perfect, and nice, simple, effective idea how you did that with the plexi. Good work. You have that about 1/4 of the way under the rubber? Half?
That looks a little more reasonable then a piece of belt or slide!
Thanks a lot for the picture and feedback guys.
Mike.

Thanks, it goes about 3/4 of the way to the bolt.
I had a hard time getting the bolt through the ski with the plexi glass i cant imagine getting a piece of belt in there!

I got my first ride in after shim and toe adjustment and I think my sled has actualy gained top end!
Turns like a breeze and could not be more impressed with the sled today.
except for that darn relay freezing! but forgot all about it with how well it was handling.

my sled steers tight as hell with all the ice in there anything you can do to change that. i guess phazers are no doubt heated garage sleds. melted it off in my buddies garage and steers very easy again

I think I had the same problem as you - but today after running it for awhile it seemed to free up a lot as everything around the engine compartment got warmer and the snow and ice melted.
