hitting limiter
I would try 46/42 cam angle that will shift it faster and should bring you around 8800 on shift

I wasn't happy with my performance either. We were 8500 off the line and shifting down to 8300 -8400 WOT and top speed 81 mph. I removed the 3.5 gram rivet out of the tip of the clutch weights. That brought my RPM to 9100 off the line and shifting down to 88-8900 WOT which was better but I felt it still wasn't hooking up hard enough and no increase in top end. Next went to 3-3 on my secondary and worked much better. RPM stayed much the same but pulled harder and brought my top end up to 85 mph. Still using stock belt with 1300 miles on it. I quess every XTX machine is a little different.
