Stock Apex performance

Interested in purchasing an Apex. I know nothing about the ride. I ride with a group of guys that are very aggrerssive on trails. Does this sled perform well from 0-60? we ride all day, im assuming they are comfortable sleds.
I know it has good top speed.

Found an 06 Apex with 3200 miles, all stock for $5700 firm, im first to look at it. Will it suit my needs for performance?

Also can u fit a 2 up seat on the Apex.

Not sure about 2 up seat, I ride very aggressive and love it. I never had a 2-stroke so cant give good comparison. Sled is A little heavy but you dont notice it, very fast. I'm tired after riding all day,but Im sure you would be no matter what you ride. Less maintenance. Would have to see anything before I bought it but if its in good cond. 3200 miles is not much for a yammy. If I didn't know much about it I would have a dealer check it out first if I were you.
From reading on this there are a few things to look at, W arm were limiter strap is,they crack,drive shaft, exhaust donuts and the hand warmers suck I have an 09 and I had to fix mine with yamaheaters. Check all fluids if they are all clean and at correct level ( plus machine is stock) its a pretty good indication that the guy took care of it.

Check the radiator mounting tabs also, near your right foot. I was real happy with my 06 Ape.

I love my sled.. I have no problems keeping up with my friends (who ride like a bunch of racers)

In stock form it may or may not handle like you want.. It all depends on how hard you really ride..

I swithced to Doo Pilot skis and added a 13mm swaybar from pioneerperformance.net
