Stopdropanroll's 09 XTX fall mods.

Anyone know if that e-series mini or max tunnel bag will fit an XTX with no exhaust mods? (other then an exhaust turn out)

NOT A CHANCE! There is simply not enough room, booth of these bags are pretty tall and deep, I had to relocate my taillight to make this fit, the jerry can is about where the exhsaust ended.

How did you run your wires to the taillight?

A little more progress. New lower ball joints, olite bushings, Half Baked powder coating, TrailPro fronts, Avid drivers, BackCountry track installed.

Thru a 3/8in aluminum tube inside the tunnel.

can you post some pics of this. How did you wire it in? Keep up the good work

Here ya go, first messure and bend tube, I ended up using brake line cuz the aluminum wouldn't bend smoothly. I ran the wires befoe I bent the tube to make life easier. Next heat shrink the wires in the tube at one end, cut wires to length on the taillight end, slide on heat shrink, little tubes for each wire and a big one for covering all three, solder them together shrink everything, and pull wires to desired slack. Its basiclly the same for the other end but you have more slack to work with. The pic from inside the tunnel is just held up by hand, it will get mounted with rubber linned tube clamps and rivets. Then solder the factory connector to the other end and plug it in. I ran the wires threw the block off plate for the tunnel cooler, just make sure to make the hole big enough to slide the plug threw.

I moved my taillight to the back also. The holes for the reflector line up perfectly with the mounting holes from the factory taillight. I just lengthend the wires and bolted it on.

Why go under the tunnel?

SPACE!!!!

There is no room to mount anything on the tunnel of an XTX :o| . If you look at Stop's pictures on page 1 he is planning to mount a Rev gas can and his Sled Solutions E-Series tunnel bag...no chance in H$LL that is fitting with the above tunnel exhaust set up.
