Hi guys, some of you guys are running big HP, what axle are you guys using? I heard micro-belmont makes one. Are there any other axles available that can take the 240 to 300 HP? and how much $$
Thanks

There's 2 of us in IL. running 300HP with stock and haven't broke one yet. I know i'm over 2000 miles with it
My understanding is that the failing axle is more a matter of milage of constant flexing of hitting bumps and etc. 8000 miles seems to be a magic # for axle shaft failure. IF this theroy is true, than a heavier rider would most likely see a failure earlier that a light rider???? I can tell you that the ends of the shaft on the MB are the exact same dimension as stock....only the "hex" in the center is thicker. About 1/16 or 1/8 wider diameter I beleive.

I have broke one at 10000 mil & a guy who rides with me broke his 10000. I live by micro belmont talked w/them. They need your existing shaft to build a new matching one out of a stronger metal that they say will outlast the sled. They are installing walh extrovert drives on mine for a full clipped track. they order drives to match existing size or brand of sled and install them, I am paying in the 250 area. I am sure from talking to the if you need something a little bigger they will make it. Good service, and been around along time. They even made there own REDLINE snowmobile for a year or two.

MDKUNI puts on a TON of miles and his stock shaft failed almost at the same time his Microbelmont did. I was surprised by this but still did the HD micro shaft with extros for my supercharged sled.
Mine broke from over tightening. New OEM shaft and anti ratchet drivers kept me from over tighting my shaft.
